Here’s a weird one! On this Kraftwerk Autobahn Blu:
https://losslessma.net/electronic/kraftwerk-autobahn-1974-2025-blu-ray-audio-50th-anniversary-edition-hi-res/
I was retagging the 2.0 HR FLAC via mp3Tag. I have it config’d so it reports Frequency (48k in this case) and Bitrate. 48/24/2.0 should give you a bitrate of at LEAST 2000, probably more.
On the first 5 tracks, I see bitrates of 743, 575, 949, 637,581.
On the 2 bonus tracks, 1374 & 1449. CD Quality Stereo is like 900 to 1100!
I then looked at them with MediaInfo & got the same numbers.
SO.., don’t know if it’s a bad rip, OR maybe, the Blu is a mass produced F-Up?
If I look at your 5.1 & 7.1’s, those seem better, but “strange” too! 3 to 4000 on the 5.1’s, but the 7.1’s are slightly lower, by maybe 10%.
Logically, they should be higher.
There you go!
I report…, you decide.
Hi Race Guy
Alright, let’s re-extract the audio with eac3to this time. Maybe the first extraction had an issue.
