This SACD (DSD) sampler from Concord Jazz has stunning audio, so there’s that. But beyond there is also and nice mix of varying jazz tracks taken from previously released albums within their label. Favorites will certainly depend on what you like as songs range from the opening reggae infused track, “Reggae-Later” by Monty Alexander’s Ivory & Steel to “The Real Blues,” a live recording by The Ray Brown Trio to a solo piano tune called “Silent Pool” which closes out the album.
